The adoption of Fayda and the collaborative approach championed by the NBE and National ID Ethiopia with the support of CSM-AFRICOM are expected to significantly expand financial inclusion in Ethiopia. By leveraging digital identity, the initiative holds immense potential to improve access to finance, reduce dependence on informal lenders, streamline streamline the Know Your Customer (KYC) process and empower both individuals and MSMEs to contribute more meaningfully to the national economy.
